At The Peak Antler Company, we are the craftsmen. We don’t always get to see the end result of our months of labor in a dusty shop. After creating large custom antler chandeliers and multiple pieces for individual projects, we often wonder how our work looks in its final state.
But sometimes, we are able to work with the designers from start to finish. The Seven Lakes Lodge in Meeker, Colorado was one such project. The Peak Antler Company collaborated with the Norman Design Group on a full scale remodel and modern design update on the Seven Lakes Lodge for Pro-golfer Greg Normal and his wife Kristen.
Their love of the great outdoors at their high-style, low-key Colorado ranch created the perfect opportunity to create stunning antler art pieces for their reinvented mountain retreat. Follow along to get a view into our creative process and the fruitful results of our team and collaborators.
The Process
At The Peak Antler Company, we create each antler chandelier to order which allows the unlimited ability to customize size, finishing, number of lights and anything else that you may need for your own unique custom antler chandeliers.
For this project, the designers provided photos of their ideas along with floor plans and dimensions so we could gauge the scale and balance of the rooms. From there we began discussion utilizing multiple sketches of things that would work, things to add or change.
Emails, phone conversations and drawings were sent back and forth working directly with the interior designers to create the perfect finished pieces for the lodge. We provided updates throughout the build process to ensure the designer’s vision was being realized.
The Final Result
Four antler chandeliers were created for this residence. The largest of which were twin Mt. Elbert designs, as well as a complementing set of Snowmass and Sunshine Peak Chandeliers.
The two matching Mt Elbert Elk and Mule Deer Antler Chandeliers were located in the great room. Aligned with the two story stone fireplace, set over seating areas in front of the grand view out the wall of picture windows.
A custom size Snowmass Mountain Mule Deer Antler Chandelier using a wooden beam was chosen for over the 10 seat dining table and a custom size. Finally, the complimenting Sunshine Peak Mule Deer Antler Chandelier was created over the breakfast table.
The satisfying result of our collaboration was featured in an edition of the Veranda Magazine. We work with designers across the world to help complete innovative and traditional designs.
