Every house needs adequate lighting to function properly, and chandeliers are a popular lighting source. Here at The Peak Antler Company we don’t create the classic chandeliers of glittering gold and crystal that hang in the palaces of kings. We create custom antler chandeliers of natural beauty using materials taken directly from the forests of Colorado.
There are so many reasons to choose a custom antler chandelier to light your country chic or mountain home. They come in all shapes and sizes to perfectly accent your space, whether it is a small mountain cottage or a grand chalet. Our custom antler chandeliers are made sustainably and can be multi-functional, making them a gorgeous and practical work of art for your home. Coordinate your mountain decor with other custom antler pieces like mirrors, bar-stools, tables, and lamps.
An Antler Chandelier Is A Unique Piece For Your Home
Although antler chandeliers are growing in popularity around the world, they are not found everywhere. They have only grown in production within the last 20 or so years due to the demand for modern mountain interior design, so antler decor is still a striking statement piece for your home. Install a custom antler chandelier in your home, and you’ll get that ‘wow!’ reaction from visitors every time.
Not only is an antler chandelier a distinctive element, but each one is completely unique. This is because the antlers we use are natural and not produced in a factory. Our antler art is not a set of exactly matched pieces. Since each antler comes from a unique animal who grows every antler in a different shape, no two antler chandeliers can possibly ever be the same. When you order a custom antler chandelier, you’re getting a one of a kind, timeless work of art and craftsmanship.
Antler Chandeliers Offer Sustainable Lighting
Because real antlers are hard to find and more expensive, growth in demand for antler decor in a variety of interior design styles has increased the supply of synthetic faux antler lighting. Faux antlers are made from plastic and are a result of industrial production rather than artful craftsmanship. Both the energy and the materials used to create these fake antlers in mass production are harmful to the ecosystem of our planet.
Jeff Musgrave and his team at The Peak Antler Company believe that real antlers not only look better than synthetic ones, they are much better quality and naturally sustainable. Because they’re grown and shed by deer, elk, and moose annually they do not generate a large carbon footprint. These animals are wild as well, so they are not killed for their antlers and don’t grow up on farms. The animals that produce Peak Antlers products all live happily in their natural habitat and release their antlers every winter, which are then collected and bring back to our workshop to repurpose.
Using real antlers makes a chandelier that will last decades or even centuries. This eliminates the need to replace the chandelier and emit more carbon through manufacturing. Plus, our real antler chandeliers are capable of running on green energy!
Antler Lighting Is Functional Art
Modern design styles rely on the use of clean lines and an uncluttered feel, which is what makes Mountain Modern such a popular interior design style. Fulfilling modern design’s need to limit the number of items in a space, antler chandeliers combine both art and function together into a singular piece.
So rather than choosing just a functional lighting fixture or an interesting art piece, you can save space and use a chandelier that offers both. Functional art is sustainable in itself too, since instead of creating two products you can use just one that is already made from environmentally friendly materials!
